All about trout
Tis' the season for the Guadalupe River. Trout fishing has been excellent lately. Nymphing has been most productive, however the streamer bite will have its time during cloudy days. Most of our fish are being caught on yarn egg patterns and small midges. Occasionally will have them turn on to a stonefly nymph or large caddis jig.
We have been consistently catching into large fish daily with many opportunities to sight cast in shallow water. My favorite way to fish! My January bookings are almost full, and I have about 10 days left available in February. This week they stocked adult brown trout throughout the Guadalupe, so now is a great time to float the river!
